Hello Linux Geeksters. Enlightenment is a stacking window manager for the X Window System. It can be used as a standalone desktop environment, or as an window manager for Gnome or KDE.
In this article I will show you how to install E17 (Enlightenment 17) 0.17.5 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because it is available via PPA, installing E17 0.17.5 on the listed Ubuntu and Linux Mint systems, is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the e17 package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:efl/trunk
$ sudo apt-get update update
$ sudo apt-get install e17
